Dr Sherif Elhadary

Dr Sherif Elhadary graduated with an MBBCh degree in 2008 and went on to undertake extensive training in respiratory and general internal medicine. He obtained his Master’s degree (MSc) in Respiratory Medicine in 2016, with research focused on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

He achieved Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) in 2020, successfully completed the Respiratory Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) in 2023, and was awarded CESR accreditation in Respiratory Medicine in 2024.

Dr Elhadary is currently practising as a Respiratory Consultant at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to his clinical work, he has a strong interest in medical education and healthcare quality improvement. He holds both a Diploma in Health Profession Education and a Diploma in Total Quality Management, completed in 2013.

He provides comprehensive consultations, investigations, and treatment for a wide range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, chronic cough, recurrent chest infections, breathlessness, sleep-related breathing disorders, lung cancer, and lung fibrosis. He has a particular subspecialty interest in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD).

Dr Elhadary is trained in bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), and pleural procedures, allowing him to offer advanced diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care.

His approach combines clinical expertise with compassionate communication, ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and actively involved in their care throughout their treatment journey.
